Nitrogen Generator

Offering market leading solutions

How does a nitrogen generator work?

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is a widely used technique for on-site nitrogen generation. Air is compressed and drawn into a filter system containing the adsorbent material. Due to the small size of the nitrogen molecules, they can pass through the filter while the larger oxygen, carbon dioxide and water vapour molecules get adsorbed to the surface.

Our Atlas Copco Nitrogen Generation systems that we have available are made with either Membrane or Pressure Swing Adsorption technology. Our generators can provide you with a range of flow from 1 to 5000 Nm3/h and 95 to 99.999% purity, allowing you to produce nitrogen of the highest quality on site using compressed air.  The PSA units are the lowest energy consumption, lowest air factor in the industry and represent the lowest cost for nitrogen gas, compared to other generators, liquid and bottles.

The product gas that is collected from the adsorption is essentially pure nitrogen which can be used for a variety of different applications, such as chemical tank blanketing, gas spring systems, heat transfer fluids, food and pharmaceutical packaging and more.

The benefits of an on-site nitrogen generator

  • Save up to 90% of the average cost of your gas
  • Reduce waste by eliminating the need for reordering and changing bottles for nitrogen storage as only the required amount of nitrogen is produced.
  • The purity of the gas can be adjusted according to individual need
  • Much more cost effective than bottled or liquid nitrogen

At Maziak we have extensive experience providing market leading nitrogen generation solutions to a range of applications, all fully complaint with EU and USA statute specifications. PSA is renowned for having the lowest energy consumption and lowest air factor in the industry and represent the lowest cost for nitrogen gas compared to other forms of nitrogen generation.
