Service Co-ordinator Role

Location: Wellingborough, Northants.

Role: Service Co-ordinator


  • To be the first point of contact for incoming service calls and customer service requests
  • To support the administrative requirements of the service team
  • To maintain and update the service records & database as necessary
  • Provide regular reporting to management as required
  • Holds overall responsibility for organising 16 engineers work on a daily basis, it is critical that the engineer’s time is planned efficiently and skill set used according to the task.
  • Works closely with the Tech Support Engineer and Stores department to ensure that work flow is uninterrupted and the business works as an effective team.
  • Arrange all service and repair visits with customers and book in via phone or e-mail.
  • Book all jobs in the service system
  • Manage all breakdowns in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Carefully plan all visits via geographical location where possible to ensure best efficiency & reduce costs.
  • Keep customers informed at all times.
  • Take responsibility, working closely with the stores, ensuring that all parts are ordered well enough in advance of requirements.
  • Ensure that the engineer jobs are completed accurately, providing feedback where appropriate
  • Collaborate with engineers, using their knowledge to assist and help plan work to deliver the best possible service to the customer.
  • Resolve any issues with the engineers or customers immediately and escalate to the Service Director or Field service manager if necessary.
