SAFEcontractor is a fast-growing accreditation scheme designed to help industry improve its safety record. With almost 18,000 contractor members, it assesses the H&S competency of contractors and service providers according to its H&S Charter Standards. The scheme is now used by many organisations, including some of Maziaks’ key customers, as a way of obtaining competent contractors. Our accreditation is testament to our strong H&S record and rigorous standards. Like CHAS, SAFEcontractor is also a member scheme of SSiP (Safety Schemes in Procurement).

Maziaks have been awarded The Contractors Health & Safety Scheme (CHAS) accreditation demonstrating compliance with and sound management of current H&S legislation. CHAS is an established market leader for H&S pre-qualification in the UK. It is a non-commercial scheme allowing buyers of goods and services to look for competent suppliers. CHAS is a member scheme of SSiP (Safety Schemes in Procurement). The Health & Safety Executive has expressed confidence that the process of accreditation carried out by any such member scheme will be consistent and fit for purpose.

ISO 9001 is an international quality management standard that is rapidly becoming the most recognised quality standard in the world. Globally adopted in virtually all industries – from manufacturers and service companies, ISO 9001 has become the most widely recognised Management System Standard. ISO 9001 is also important because it helps embed the right quality attitude through the existence of a quality management system — the right policies, procedures, records, technologies, resources and structures. This should lead to a world-class standard of quality which is what ISO recognises. We’re delighted that Maziaks gained accreditation in record time!

Waste Carrier’s Licence - Waste can only be collected by a waste carrier that is registered by the Environment Agency. Anyone collecting waste from your premises must be in possession of a waste carriers licence. These are issued by the Environmental Agency. Maziaks hold a valid waste carriers licence (Registration under the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011).

As of 4th July 2011 businesses without a full F-Gas Certificate may not maintain or service stationary refrigeration or air-conditioning units containing or designed to contain F-Gas refrigerants. Maziaks are certificated and we have invested in training our engineers to City & Guilds 2079-101 Gas Handling Qualifications (Level 2 in F-Gas & ODS regulations - category 1).

Founded in 1930, the British Compressed Air Society is the only UK technical trade association open to manufacturers, distributors and end users of compressors, vacuum pumps, pneumatic tools and allied products. Their role is to provide unbiased advice on legislation, technical standards, education, compliance, safety and environmental matters that affect suppliers and users of compressed air and vacuum systems.
